Tim Poe

Born in Greenville, SC, and raised in a Naval military family, Tim grew up surrounded by the discipline and service instilled by his father, a career Navy Chaplain. Living near military bases across Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and the lakes and rivers of West Tennessee, he developed a deep love for boating, fishing, and hunting.

Tim graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, in 1999. In 2001, he transitioned from a banking career in Atlanta to South Florida, settling in Jupiter. In 2003, he pursued his passion for the marine industry, joining one of the largest marine retailers as a Sales Consultant in North Palm Beach. Representing brands such as Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, Cabo, and Hatteras Yachts, Tim quickly excelled in his new role.

In 2010, Tim joined a boutique brokerage in Stuart, FL, where he represented Pursuit Boats and later helped establish the company’s reputation with brands like Tiara Yachts and Jupiter Boats. Recognizing the importance of the brokerage side of the business, Tim dedicated himself to mastering the art of yacht sales.

With a work ethic rooted in his military upbringing, Tim takes pride in helping families realize their boating dreams. Joining HMY Yacht Sales in 2024, he continues to focus on connecting clients with the perfect vessel. Outside of work, Tim enjoys cruising, fishing, and spending time outdoors, whether on a jon boat, motor yacht, flats boat, or a sportfish.
